Prediction, Game Preview, and Odds for Georgia vs. Alabama

This could be the first of three fights between these two.

In his new job as head coach of Alabama, this is the first really, really, really big game.

If Alabama beats Georgia, the hopes that they had to win the national title become real. This is the start of the post-Saban era.

Georgia has to think of today as just another work day.

Remember how Clemson did nothing in their first-game loss to Georgia, 34–3? That Tiger team might win the whole league during the regular season.

But a lackluster game against Kentucky a few weeks ago made this team look like it could be beaten. This game needs to show that it is not true.

Not to downplay how big this is, but once more, this could be Round 1. These two teams might play for the SEC Championship, and it is likely that both will be in the College Football Playoff.

But for now, this is the most important game of the first quarter of the season.

Georgia plays at Texas and Ole Miss, Alabama at LSU and Oklahoma, and both teams play Tennessee. This means that the loser still has some worries, but the winner should be ranked as the best team in the country in both ratings.

Why Georgia Will Win

First swarm the run, then move on.

That was what Kentucky had going against them. With just the right amount of grinding, the Wildcats were able to keep the game close the whole time.

Aside from committing to the bit, neither Clemson nor UK could do anything on the ground. The Cats just kept passing it off.

They will keep running it if they can, and the Dawgs will not get tired of it. So far, Bama has been able to run, run, run like lightning. That is how all teams would love to work, and Bama can do it. Get you to trust them, and then hit you hard.

On defense, keep the cycle fresh and do not let Jalen Milroe get creative. Most importantly, get back to work when 4 completes the big pass down the field.

Do not let one big play turn into two. USA and USF learned quickly that this O can hit.

In a hostile way, zero. They have given up that many mistakes in three games.

Think that Bama will give it away at least once, maybe twice, so do not mess up. Then…

Why Alabama Will Win

SOAK UP. Relax. Start slowly and do not try to win right away.

The crowd will go crazy. It is very important for Alabama fans to know that things will stay happy under this new administration. That is what they are going to do anything to make it happen.

But you need to be patient.

Again, Alabama needs to make a promise to fight on the ground right away. The Georgia defense will not be getting easier, but that is okay.

However, the Tide only gained 2.8 yards per run and ran 41 times in the SEC Championship last season, but they gained 114 yards.

The deep shots will come if you keep running and trust the defense that stopped WKU’s passing game and did not break much even though it was bent against the USF ground attack.

Georgia vs Alabama: Who Will Win

Georgia has 24 and South Carolina has 14. That game happened in Week 3 of last season, and the Bulldogs won.

In Week 4, it was hard for the 2022 team to beat Kent State. To get through Missouri, it had to have everything in the bag as well. That team won the national title by beating TCU 198–2. (Oh, 65-7 was a lot better.)

The Bulldogs had a hard time beating Kentucky 13–12. This team just lives and moves forward every once in a while. We already know what is going to happen next.

Not a very exciting game, but Georgia’s offense will work well, Carson Beck will keep things going, and the defense will hold up even though they take a few hits.

Auburn will not win this game, but it will know that it can beat this group in early December.
