Brandon Aubrey has been one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL for the past two seasons, but his aim was slightly off for a kick on Sunday, and a Cowboys cheerleader suffered the consequences.
After nailing a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter, Aubrey returned to the field to handle the kickoff. On the kick, it appeared that he was attempting to hit a low line drive, but it came off his foot awkwardly, and things got a little crazy from there.
Aubrey’s kick went out of bounds, but it also hit a Cowboys cheerleader in the head.
oh no…

And now you understand why cheerleading is so dangerous.
Here’s another angle of the kick, where you can see her quickly recover after being hit.
Shoutout to this #DallasCowboys Cheerleader for taking the hit like a champ 💪 pic.twitter.com/jluDhATMku

The good news is that it doesn’t appear that the Cowboys had to place this cheerleader in concussion protocol. It appears she only took a minute or two to regroup before returning to the field.
Getting hit in the head with a football hurts, and getting hit by a line drive hurts even more, so this could have gone much worse, but instead, this cheerleader will have a hilarious story to tell for the rest of her life.
When he wasn’t hitting cheerleaders, Aubrey had an effective first half against the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys scored six points in the first two quarters, all of which came from Aubrey, who made two field goals.
