Diddy obviously has a lot on his plate right now. In September, the Bad Boy founder was arrested on allegations of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. He is currently being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, awaiting his trial, which is scheduled to begin in March. On top of that, he is facing multiple lawsuits from people accusing him of sexual assault and other sorts of abuse.
However, it appears that Diddy’s current troubles aren’t limited to legal difficulties. According to TMZ, the mogul went to the hospital last week because his knee was “bothering him.” According to the outlet, he was brought to a local hospital for an MRI of his knee, which he has previously acknowledged having problems with.
“I cannot comment on anything related to prisoner movements,” his lawyer Marc Agnifilo told the site when questioned about the hospitalization. “Also, I’m not commenting on anything related to possible medical issues.” Diddy’s hospitalization comes just days after he was charged with a superseding indictment. The latest complaint contains additional alleged victims, kidnapping charges, and even arson allegations. It also extends the alleged racketeering conspiracy by 20 years. Agnifilo answered this on his behalf in a statement last week, refuting the prosecution’s premise while defending his client.
“The latest indictment contains no new offenses,” Agnifilo told AllHipHop. “The prosecution’s theory remains defective. The government has introduced the absurd hypothesis that two of Mr. Combs’ past girlfriends were actually prostitutes rather than girlfriends. Mr. Combs is as determined as ever to fight these charges and win the trial.”
