The county sheriff said Monday that a man from Florida killed his ex-wife and her then-boyfriend in their Frederick County, Maryland, home and then left his three children and a sister without their mother.
Crimea Baker, David Phillip Turner’s ex-wife, and Sean Lange were found dead in the bedroom of Baker’s home in the 7000 block of Mandalong Court early on August 27, according to police. Turner is 33 years old.
Turner, an IT worker, was arrested on a beach around 6 p.m. on Saturday after his car and apartment were searched by FBI agents and deputies from Frederick County. Sheriff Jenkins says that he will be sent back to Maryland sometime in the next month.
Turner said at first that he was in Miami when the crime happened, but officers said he drove to Frederick County around the time of the murder. Turner most likely broke into the New Market home around 1:30 a.m. and shot “at least” 42 rounds into the bedroom upstairs before running away.
There were four kids in the house; three of them were from Baker and Turner’s relationship. They heard the shots and hid for hours before calling the cops at 7 a.m. The kids were all younger than 13 and were safe.
“Their lives will never be the same but physically they are okay, they are with family,” he said.
