Why Alabama Will Win

Their offence, led by Diego Pavia, is fun, but it does not move the ball enough.

There is no way for the team to keep up the pace and hang on to the other people. It is not enough to just not mess up.

Alabama surprised everyone by starting the Georgia game well, which was not always the case. However, the team took a break in the second half, which stopped their progress.

But in this case, it was over as soon as the Tide came out and tore it up for the first three runs.

They do not have the pop and talent to come back, but…

Why Vanderbilt Will Win

They might get lucky with one big break if they can just keep going long enough to make this matter in the middle of the third quarter.

They get flagged for too many fouls, but they do not lose picks and have only turned the ball over once all season. Plus, their special teams are making some great plays that could help them win.

Alabama has to screw up.

It’s not enough for Vanderbilt to be error free. It needs at least two takeaways. The team is 2-0 when it won the turnover margin and 0-2 when it didn’t.

The Alabama defense came up with multiple takeaways in three of the four games. The outlier was the win over USF which was still close until a late explosion, and that might be this.

Vandy will have a few nice moments, and then reality will kick in.
