For a while, South Alabama was having a good time. They scored 87 points against Northwestern State and 48 against Appalachian State, but they got stuck against LSU and Arkansas State.

Troy can not score.

Even though they have done a great job on third downs and limiting mistakes, it is been hard to get past 17 points because there have been too many empty trips.

That being said, the line is too weak and lets too many sacks and tackles for loss happen. South Alabama will put pressure on them.

The Trojan defense, on the other hand, does not rush the passer enough, and South Alabama has the speed to move the ball in a number of ways.

The defense gives up a lot of yards and points, but the run defense has not been too bad. Troy is not making any kind of push in front, but…

South Alabama will be more balanced with several good runs to take over the game in the third quarter. Troy will keep this close throughout, but once again it’ll fail to come through with the big plays in the key moments.
