Yes, the 2025 COLA raise for retirees will be given out in 2025, according to the Social Security Administration. People who are on SNAP, on the other hand, are already getting the 2025 COLA because the USDA started sending payouts this October 2024.
This way, people who use SNAP will not have to wait until next year to get more money.
The bad news is that the Food Stamps COLA is much lower than the SSA’s COLA rise, which was 2.5%. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program’s COLA was only about 0.34%.
SNAP payments left in Florida in October 2024, with COLA
Applying for and getting Food Stamps can be done by each state. Because of this, the State of Florida is still sending money to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program until October 28.
By that date, all other states should have sent their monthly payments. Alaska and Vermont were two states that sent all of the rewards in one payment.
Florida sets up SNAP recipients’ paychecks by using their case number. In Florida, the case number is read backwards, and the 10th digit is skipped. The 9th and 8th digits are used.
