The US Mint has released possible designs for the highly anticipated 2025 Superman coins and medals. These will be the first coins in the new Comic Art Super Heroes line. Thanks to a license deal between the U.S.
Mint and DC Comics, this program will show off nine famous superheroes over the course of three years. In 2025, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman will be the first to be shown.
The series will start with these possible designs. There will be superheroes on 24-karat gold coins,.999 fine silver medals, and medals made of non-precious metals. The show will go on until 2026 and 2027, and six more DC comic book characters have not been announced yet.

The Commission of Fine Arts (CFA) will look over the drawings on September 19, and then the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will do the same on September 24. Both groups will make suggestions that will help make sure the designs are finalized in a way that meets both artistic standards and general interest.
U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna will design and sculpt the fronts of all the coins and medals in the Comic Art Super Heroes line. One of the Mint’s Medallic Artists will work with Menna’s artistic direction to make the images for the backs of the coins.
