The most needy people in the United States may soon get more help. The US Government is giving you a way to get help so that you can pay your gas and electric bills and have less money issues.
You might get this help soon if you qualify, and you might be able to pay your bills without any trouble.
This way, people who need it can pay their energy bills. Check to see if you meet the requirements and see if you can get more than one of these benefits.
You will be able to get the money as soon as the US Government sends it if you are qualified. In either case, get all the facts and ask for money as soon as possible.
Help with electricity and gas payments
There are two ways for us to get this kind of help. There is LIHEAP on the one hand. But the government also has the WAP help. We could apply for both if we are qualified because they work with each other.
This is what the official page of the US Government says you need to do to get both LIHEAP and WAP:
- LIHEAP. It will depend on your monthly income, mainly. To find out exactly if you are eligible you should contact the LIHEAP offices.
- WAP. In this case monthly income is also important. But it is also worth noting that if we have another type of help, such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI), we may be able to access WAP more easily. Even so, to find out if we are eligible we must go to one of the WAP offices.
Besides all of this, we can also get help if our utilities have been turned off. We might lose gas, power, and other services if we do not pay our bills on time for a long time. After that, every state has its own rules.
