Just when it seemed like Fresno State was settling into its also-ran status behind Boise State and UNLV – it doesn’t play the Broncos and got whacked by UNLV 59-14 – it slipped by Nevada and rim-rocked San Jose State to all but put to rest any concerns about getting bowl eligible.

And then there’s the other part of this – it’s still in the hunt for the Mountain West title. It has to win out in conference play and get some help, but it’s still alive.

Hawaii whacked Nevada 34-13 last week, but with the two other wins against FCS teams, it can’t afford another loss and it has UNLV up next. The team isn’t playing too poorly, but it needs to get the O going.

Hawaii vs Fresno State: Who Will Win?

Fresno State threw well against San Jose State and at least kept pounding away with the running game enough to take the pressure off.

There’s no worrying about the Hawaii ground game – which is how the Rainbow Warriors beat Nevada – especially considering the Bulldogs should keep it to under four yards per carry.

As always, it’ll be a bit of a fight to put Hawaii away, but it’ll be a steady victory without a ton of drama in the second half.
