The police blotter said that 42-year-old Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez was arrested in Hartford on November 6 on a warrant for her extradition from Orlando. The victim was Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, who was also 42 years old.
She is charged with second-degree murder in her death. She is also charged with grand theft and tampering with physical evidence.
In December 2022, Medina-Pacheco took a long vacation from the Dominican Republic. Police said she was staying with Victoria-Gonzalez in an Orlando home. She often talked to her family, but on December 27, 2022, they stopped talking to her.
Victoria-Gonzalez told someone that day that her roommate was missing. Police said she told them she had not seen the woman since Christmas, but her story was all over the place and did not make sense.
Authorities say that when Orlando police searched the house, they found “significant evidence” that something violent had happened there. The body of Medina-Pacheco was never found, though.
Venustiano González left the house. The blotter said that she was found at a house on High St. in Hartford after a search by both state and federal investigators.
