Washington has the third best pass defense in the country.

Of course, that is because the Dawgs’ run defense is being smashed—Washington is getting hit for way too many yards per carry—and because they were thrown at by USC and Penn State two weeks ago, but this group is holding up well.

Really, what does UCLA do that is so great? Washington’s offense is not getting off the field fast enough, and they are stopping them on third down.

Washington does lose when it gets run on, though. When giving up 175 yards or more, it is 0-4; when it doesn’t, it is 5-1. UCLA ran well against Iowa, but they did not go over 140 yards on the ground any other time.
