Drake is no stranger to taking huge risks on and off stage. Drake bet heavily on Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, one of the year’s most anticipated fights.
The main event of a star-studded show in Dallas, Texas, is Paul vs. Tyson. Scott Paul wants to win his fifth straight boxing match, and Mike Tyson wants to have a successful return to the ring.
Drake is a huge fan of mixed martial arts (UFC) and has a history of betting a lot of money on fights. However, most of his big bets have not paid off, and the “Drake curse” on social media has become its own thing.
Drake’s prediction does not tell us anything about how Paul vs. Tyson will go, but one of the fighters might be a little worried about becoming the latest curse victim.
Drake places a six-figure bet on Mike Tyson to defeat Jake Paul
Drake bet $355k that Tyson would beat Paul in their heavyweight grudge match, no matter what. He posted about the bet on social media, with a picture of a possible payout of just over $1 million.
When it comes to boxing, Tyson vs. Paul is one of the most bet-on matches in recent memory. A lot of people who bet on sports are also interested in the co-main event, which is the rematch between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor.
Drake also put a huge bet on Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. This was in addition to his bet on Paul vs. Tyson. He said Jones would beat Miocic by knockout, which could win him $954k.
Drake gambles on 58-year-old Mike Tyson’s comeback
After beating Bare Knuckle FC superstar Mike Perry in July, Paul is back in the ring. He was supposed to fight Tyson on July 20, but Tyson had to back out of the fight because of a medical emergency on a flight.
Since his first loss as a professional boxer to Tommy Fury last year, Paul has come back very well. He recently beat Nate Diaz, Andre August, and Ryan Bourland, all of whom used to be UFC stars.
If Tyson wins on Friday night, it will be the first win in his career since February 2003, when he knocked out Clifford Etienne. After his loss to Kevin McBride in 2005, he lost his next two fights and then quit.
Tyson got back in the ring in 2020 to fight Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match. There was no winner in the fight.
