A scratch ticket game that came out in Massachusetts last month had a $1 million prize. On Monday, the winner came forward with their ticket to claim their prize.
A “$1,000,000 Ultimate 7” scratch ticket won Stacey Hildreth-Fortin of Springfield $1 million. The game came out on September 9 and each ticket costs $5 to play.
There are still four $1 million big prizes to be won in the game as of October 22.
Hildreth-Fortin decided to get her prize in cash, so she got a lump sum of $650,000 before taxes. She told the lottery that she plans to put her winnings to work.
The woman from Springfield got her winning ticket at Quality Fuel & Mart, which is at 1112 Bay St. in Springfield. Because they sold the winning ticket, the shop will get an extra $10,000.
