Wichita Falls (KFDX/KJTL) Three guys are facing various counts after calls about gunshots on Friday night led to a pursuit.
According to WFPD, just before midnight on Friday, March 14, officers rushed to the 100 block of Kitchings Drive after receiving multiple reports of gunfire. They discovered a black SUV traveling through the area.
Shau’daryon Moore and Damario Welch allegedly jumped out of the SUV and escaped. The driver, Dremaurine Buckner, remained in the car while police detained him at gunpoint.
Welch was allegedly spotted going into his jacket pocket while escaping from authorities. A 9-millimeter handgun was found near where he was apprehended.
Moore told police he had a gun after being apprehended. Officers discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in his pocket.
The three were each charged with escaping arrest. Buckner and Welch were both charged with narcotics possession. Bucker and Moore were both charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.
