On Thanksgiving Day, police swarmed Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Los Angeles mansion in response to a prankster’s bomb threat, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the Terminator actor’s home after receiving a call about an explosive device in his mailbox.
The 77-year-old actor’s security team worked with the police and told them about the strict security measures that were in place around his home.
They thought it would be hard for anyone to get in because there were so many cameras watching and guards there 24 hours a day.
The police say that a thorough search did not reveal any bombs.
People often play this joke by making fake emergency calls, which is called “swatting” and is meant to get armed police to respond quickly to a certain location.
During the event, Schwarzenegger was not at home because he was working out at the gym before the holidays.
Giving turkeys to families in Los Angeles has been a tradition for over 30 years thanks to the Hollywood star, who was also governor of California.
He was recently seen spreading happiness at the Hollenbeck Youth Center with Tom Arnold, who also stars with him in True Lies.
The Expendables actor recently talked about the spirit of volunteering: “Giving back is everything to me.” Something that will always stay with you.”
Schwarzenegger has lived in Brentwood for a long time. Last year, he made headlines when he fixed some potholes in the neighborhood himself.
Even though the actor meant well, the city did not allow the repair because at least one of the potholes that had been filled was a service trench that Southern California Gas Co. was allowed to use for work.
Schwarzenegger is famous for his role in the Terminator movies. He was married to Maria Shriver, a journalist and member of the Kennedy family, and they have four children together: daughters Katherine, 34, and Christina, 33; sons Patrick, 31, and Christopher, 27; and daughters Katherine, 34, and Christina, 33.
The famous couple got married in 1986, but their public split in 2011 came after it came out that Arnold was the father of a 27-year-old son born to his former housekeeper without telling anyone.
Chris was born a few days before Joseph.
People who know the star told The Daily Mail that they were “thankful” that police came to the house on the holiday to see what was going on.
