A Japan Airlines jet sliced the tail of a Delta Air Lines plane at Seattle International Airport on Wednesday morning.
At 10:17 a.m. PT, a taxiing Japan Airlines plane collided with the tail of a parked Delta Air Lines plane at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
According to the airport, the incident occurred on a taxi line that connects S Concourse to the south airport maintenance hangars.
There were no reported injuries, and airport operations were not significantly disrupted.
“While in sequence for deicing, the tail of a Delta 737 aircraft reportedly made contact with a wing tip of another airline’s aircraft,” a Delta spokesperson told DailyMail.com.
‘There are no reports of injuries to crew or passengers on the flight, and we apologize for the inconvenience and delay in travel.’
There were 142 passengers on Delta’s flight from Seattle to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The company stated that they are working to get passengers aboard a new aircraft.
