We do not mess up with the Sun Devils.

They do not give up many penalties, and they have only turned the ball over six times all season. They have not lost it in the last two games. Even though Kansas State does not depend on takeaways, eleven of the twelve came in the seven wins.

They made no mistakes, had strong special teams (though the placekicking could be better), and were in charge of the clock and the pace of the game. Kansas State talks and plays like they want to, but can’t. But…

Run the ball over and over again.

Yes, Kansas State needs to avoid making too many big mistakes and not let Arizona State run the clock and the game. But keep running, and everything should be fine.

Kansas State does not need to run for 300 yards, but the rest of the offense should work as long as the runs average over four yards. They did that in all but the last game, which they lost to Houston.

ASU has been good against the run against most teams, but Cincinnati beat them when they gave up five yards per carry. Other games were close when they gave up 4.3 yards or more per carry.
