The race for the 12 spots in the College Football Playoff has suddenly become more exciting.
Ole Miss and Oklahoma State lost a lot of ground. Georgia moved back a bit. Miami does not look like it will make it, and a lot of teams you would not expect to be in the running, like BYU. Rutgers? Indiana?! – have not lost yet.
Here are our bowl and bracket picks for Week 6 of the College Football Playoff.
College Football Playoff Bowl Projections: Week 6
One of the 12 spots in the playoffs goes to the winner of the Group of Five. The top four teams in each league get the first four spots.
The CFP sends the top seeds to their usual bowl games. For example, the Big Ten winner goes to the Rose Bowl, and the SEC champion goes to the Sugar Bowl, if they are ranked high enough to get that spot.
The winner of 8 at 9 plays the 1, the winner of 10 at 7 plays the 2, the winner of 11 at 6 plays the 3, and the winner of 8 at 9 plays the 4. What cards do you get?
