You can get a new Social Security payment today if you are an American citizen born between the 21st and 31st month of your life and qualified for the Retirement, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (RSDI) program.
You also need to have claimed benefits after May 1997. There will be no more payments from the Social Security Administration until the first of October, after this one is given.
Beneficiaries will get payments ranging from $1,537 to $4,873 per month, depending on the program they qualify for and other factors like their full retirement age, work history, Social Security taxes, and the type of disability.
This is especially true for beneficiaries of the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program.
A new Social Security payment will reach beneficiaries’ bank accounts today
The SSA sends more than 70 million payments to its clients every month.
But because the government agency is in charge of four different programs, people who get Social Security benefits need to know how each one works and what the main requirements are for each one.
Here is a list of all the current programs that are open, along with their major requirements:
Retirement benefit program
For this federal insurance program, there are two key things that you need to do. The first requirement is that you must be at least 62 years old. The second is that you must have paid Social Security fees for at least ten years.
Disability Insurance
You must have paid Social Security taxes for at least five of the ten years before you were medically certified blind or disabled in order to get SSDI benefits.
If you are twenty-four years old or younger, this rule may not apply to you. Click on the link to learn more about the SSA.

Survivors’ benefit program
The Survivor Benefit Program is a government program that many Americans may not know much about. You must be a spouse, a child, or a parent who depends on you financially to be able to use this service.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit program
If someone wants to get SSI benefits, they have to show that they make less than $1,971 a month and have less than $2,000 in assets. People who apply as a couple will also need to meet the $3,000 wealth requirement.
When will beneficiaries receive their Social Security payment?
As was already said, if you were born between January 21st and January 31st and are an American worker who retired, a survivor, or handicapped, you will get your Social Security payment throughout the day.
A person who gets SSI will be the first person to get their payments in October after this payment. The Social Security payout schedule says that next month’s payments will be sent out in the following order:
Social Security Retirement Program | Day of the month | Confirmed payment date |
Recipients from Supplemental Security Income (SSI) | October 1st (Tuesday) | |
RSDI beneficiaries who collected payments before 1997 | October 3rd (Thursday) | Beneficiaries receive their benefits regardless of the day they were born |
RSDI beneficiaries who collected payments after 1997 | 2nd Wednesday (October 9th)

Beneficiary’s birth date: 1st–10th.
