We’ve figured it out. We know who the top college basketball teams are this season.
That is not to say that any of the top ten teams in our most recent round of rankings of all 68 teams will do anything when it counts – do you really want to face UConn, even this lesser version, when the lights are on?
However, these ten are loaded with talent and the ability to prove their worth.
Are we going to punish Wisconsin for losing a fight on the road to Michigan State when the threes refused to drop? Nah. And are we going to punish Alabama for losing at Tennessee despite having a great shot at the finish? No, not too much.
And, yes, after putting Duke on top for a week (it did beat Auburn many, many days ago), Auburn has simply been too good for too long.
