Before the big win over Kansas State, the first four games of Willie Fritz’s first year were not going well. But after that, things turned around quickly.

They can go bowling if they win two of their last three games, including the last two at Baylor and BYU. They are now 4-5.

Arizona is now in a deep hole. The team has lost five straight games and things are only getting worse. The defense has been terrible and the offense just can not get going.

Three of the last four losses, including a 56-12 snoozer at UCF, were by huge margins. If the Wildcats want to bowl, they need to win this game at TCU and Arizona State.

The defense has been bad from the start, but it is been especially bad against everyone’s running game. The early win over Utah gave people false hope. After that, each week Arizona gave up more rushing yards. Last week, UCF ran for over 300 yards.

Houston does not get too rough, but it can take off for long stretches of time. The team is 3-0 when they run for 200 yards, 1-6 when they give up more than 5.5 yards per carry, and

The ball does not get moved around enough in Houston.

Houston is last in the country in red zone scoring, which means they do not score enough points when they have the chance. They are also one of the worst teams in the country on third downs when they do not have a passing game down the field.

What can Arizona do to make things better? Even more speed needs to be added to the passing game, and each carry needs to gain at least 4.5 yards. The defense also needs to start picking off passes right away.

The team beat Kansas State by passing for 12 times out of 12 and getting flagged twice. Arizona, on the other hand, could not have been worse.

The Arizona offense’s front seven is not holding up, the team can not get going, and there were ten penalties. Even though it does not look like it is confident, Houston is having a good run.

As long as the turnovers do not get bad—four costly turnovers for Houston against Kansas—the run will continue.
