Social Security just confirmed a double SSI payment for low-income Americans in November
People who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will get a second payment in November. This is because there will be an early payment in December, which is the last month of the year.
According to the Social Security Administration’s schedule, Supplemental Security Income funds should be sent out on the first of every month. The SSA will move the payment date to the next business day if the first day is a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday.
Which means you will get two SSI checks this month. So, the SSA will send out the November Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment on Friday, November 1.
But that month’s payment is sent earlier; it will be sent on November 29, since December 1 is a Sunday. The Social Security payment schedule for this year says the following payments will be sent out in November:
- November 1 (Friday): Supplemental Security Income recipients and beneficiaries who began receiving benefits before May 1997.
- November 13th (Wednesday): Beneficiaries with a birth date between 1 and 10.
- November 20th (Wednesday): Beneficiaries born between the 11th and the 20th.
- November 27th (Wednesday): Beneficiaries whose dates of birth are between 21 and 31
- November 29th (Wednesday): Supplemental Security Income recipients (December payment)
