After a crazy college football weekend, all that is left to do by Sunday morning is bring order to the chaos.
Oh, and this will go on for another eight weeks before the conference championships and the College Football Playoff. What will the ultimate college football hype show do about this?
With so many new schools making a lot of noise and teams coming up out of the blue, where will ESPN’s College GameDay go?
What are the next two months going to bring? We are in for a treat if it is even half as exciting as the first month or so of the season.
When GameDay went to Cal for its show, we should have known that this college football Saturday would be crazy. Things went completely crazy all day, but that could mean that the show goes to a lot of new places along the way.
Here are the most important games coming up this week, along with guesses about where GameDay might go and where it might go.
College GameDay Location Predictions
Week 7 (Oct. 12)
The show has already announced it will be at Oregon for the battle between unbeatens, Ohio State and the Ducks.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Ohio State at Oregon
Week 8 (Oct. 19)
Many things can be done during a big week of college sports. Georgia at Texas could be important for the playoffs, and LSU’s trip to Arkansas is not bad either. Neither are Michigan’s trip to Illinois or Nebraska’s trip to unbeaten Indiana. Still, the best game of the weekend?
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Alabama at Tennessee
Week 9 (Oct. 26)
Because this show does not have a big game, it is possible that one of those surprise visits will happen here.
The favourite would be LSU at Texas A&M, but since the game has already been to College Station this year, that one does not make the cut.
This time, the show goes to see an unbeaten team play a team that played in last year’s national title game.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Washington at Indiana
Week 10 (Nov. 2)
Before the year, this looked like a Big Ten split Saturday. But Michigan has already lost twice, so there is almost no chance it goes back to Ann Arbour. Instead, there could be a top-five battle in Happy Valley.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Ohio State at Penn State
Week 11 (Nov. 9)
There is a chance that the show is kicking itself for not going to Bloomington, Indiana earlier if the Hoosiers are still perfect when Michigan comes to town. That being said…
Alabama at LSU is always a big deal, and this game should still have an effect on both teams’ chances in the College Football Playoff.
The game between BYU and Utah could be very important in deciding the Big 12 winner, but GameDay loves going to Ole Miss, and it will be hard to miss a huge matchup there.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Georgia at Ole Miss
Week 12 (Nov. 16)
Even though Texas at Arkansas is a good game, only one of them will be in the Playoff. If Colorado keeps playing well, Utah at Colorado could be a very interesting game. However, Georgia might win the back-to-back with a playoff place on the line.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Tennessee at Georgia
Week 13 (Nov. 23)
Both Indiana and Ohio State have never lost a game. Not likely, but it is possible. I do not think it will be, but if it is, toss out this guess and put in the Hoosiers and Buckeyes.
An up-and-coming Army team plays a Notre Dame team that might be going to the playoffs at Yankee Stadium, which is the best of a set of good but not great games.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Notre Dame vs. Army (Bronx, NY)
Week 14 (Nov. 30)
There are a lot of big games coming up, like Notre Dame at USC and Kansas State and Iowa State for a spot in the Big 12 championship.
But ESPN will almost certainly go back to where the season began for College GameDay with this huge regular season finish.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â Texas at Texas A&M
Week 15 (Dec. 7)
Since there are so many conference championship games going on, it is hard to believe that ESPN will not follow the SEC. There are several clear reasons for this.
College GameDay Location Prediction:Â SEC Championship (Atlanta, GA)
