There are thousands of people in the United States who may get two different Social Security checks every month, but not everyone knows this.
The truth is that many people who are qualified for two checks do not know they are. That is why it is a good idea to look at the requirements.
If we meet the requirements, we will not only get a monthly check from Social Security, but we will also be able to get an extra check.
The amount of this extra check will not be the same as the other normal retirement check, but it will be enough to cover some monthly costs.
How do you get two Social Security checks a month?
People who are already getting a Social Security check when they retire can ask for another check if they meet two conditions. You can also apply for this other check even if your retirement has not been accepted.

Thus, in order to get two Social Security checks per month we must:
- Have the retirement payment accepted.
- Have Supplemental Security Income accepted.
There are very specific things you need to do to get this check from Supplemental Security Income:
- Be age 65 or older or have a disability.
- Have a low monthly income, as well as low resources.
You do not need a Social Security retirement check to get Supplemental Security Income, but the two checks can be used together.
If both are accepted, the SSI check will usually come on the first of each month, but not always. The retirement payment will come on the first day of each month.
