After Erin Jayne Plummer committed suicide in 2022 due to a mental health battle, her husband, Alan Plummer, was left to care for their family.
However, on November 10, 2024, police in Sydney discovered him dead in what appears to be a self-harm incident. His death leaves three daughters orphaned and the entire family heartbroken.
A spokesperson for the NSW Police Force sent a message to Daily Mail Australia. “Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the death of a 49-year-old man at Freshwater on Sunday,” says the statement.
Alan Plummer was found dead on the shores of Freshwater, an Australian suburb in the state of New South Wales. Plummer had sold the family’s Freshwater home two months before. They had owned it for twenty years. In March 2024, it went on sale.
The Daily Mail has released new information about Alan’s death. It says that Alan had planned to go paddling with a friend on Sunday at 6:30 a.m. When he did not show up, his friend called the police to ask them to check on him.
An hour after telling Alan’s 18-year-old daughter that her father had gone missing, police found his body. The police think Alan killed himself, but they have not said anything else.
Erin Plummer, Alan’s wife, was a host on An Aussie morning talk show called Studio 10. She had been having problems with her mental health, which tragically led to her death in 2022. She was only 42 years old.
Her friends say that the COVID pandemic was especially hard on her, which is what caused her to keep getting worse.
The Daily Mail says that Erin’s father, Peter, said that her three daughters were “mini versions of her,” which made her death even more sad.
The oldest daughter talked about her mother at her funeral. “Each day that passes I still do not believe that she is gone,” she stated. “That three girls will grow up without their mom.” I just can not get over this thought.
“Everyone loved my mom. My sister and I had 40 activities every week, and she did everything she could to take us. Because she made the world so bright, we did not know how much pain her heart was in.
