PLATTSMOUTH, Nebraska – The Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Department battled a shed fire on Friday night.
At 11:23 p.m., the fire department received a call about a structure fire on Horning Road.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a large machine shed on fire. Due to the circumstances, crews fought the fire from the outside.
According to the fire department, crews established a water shuttle operation because there were no hydrants in the area. After nearly three hours, the fire was extinguished, and the State Fire Marshal began his investigation.
The fire department determined that the cause was an accident. The building was completely destroyed, and there were no injuries reported.
Murray, Louisville, Cedar Creek, and Cass County Emergency Management all requested mutual aid in response to the incident.
