Ivana Trump’s plush New York City townhouse remains unsold, despite a $7 million price reduction since its initial listing two years ago, following her death.
The property, located in Manhattan’s upscale Lennox Hill neighborhood, was first listed in November 2022, four months after her body was discovered in the home.
The 73-year-old businesswoman, who was married to Donald Trump from 1977 to 1992, moved into the six-story townhouse shortly after their bitter divorce in the early 1990s. The property has not changed since its renovation, retaining its lavish, vintage charm.
Originally priced at $26.5 million, the townhouse was reduced by $4 million in September 2023 before being removed from the market in November. In June 2024, agents relisted the home for $19.5 million, a $7 million reduction from its original asking price.
Despite its luxurious amenities and desirable location, interest remains low, and the house continues to fail to attract buyers, even at its reduced price.
The house has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and an abundance of opulent design elements, including a gated elevator and a grand curved staircase that connects each floor. The second-floor living room features a crystal chandelier, silk wallpaper, and a gold-embossed fireplace.
According to her friends, Ivana became increasingly frail during the two years of isolation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Her close confidante, Nicki Haskell, stated that she was concerned about an accident on the stairs. Haskell revealed in a July 2022 interview with Extra that she was terrified of Ivana’s staircase.
“I have to share with you something that has always scared me. She had one of those beautiful staircases that were impossible to walk down,” she said, “narrow on the inside and wider on the outside. I was always afraid she’d fall. I’m not sure what happened, but it’s easy for me to believe.
Ivana passed away after a tragic fall at her home. The New York medical examiner’s office confirmed that she suffered blunt force injuries to her torso, and the death was ruled accidental.
She was laid to rest in a private plot on the Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey. Her ex-husband and three children attended her funeral mass, which featured a display of 73 candles, one for each year of her life.
