Jaden Smith made a striking appearance on the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Willow, Will Smith’s kid, stood next to his sister wearing a black suit and tie, topped off with a castle on his head.
The siblings arrived at Crypto.co Arena in Los Angeles, most likely using the same entrance they snuck Luka Doncic through to join the Lakers. While Willow Smith straddled the line with a revealing regal outfit, Jaden Smith appeared to be paying homage to David Lynch in his black suit and charcoal castle over his head. That’s my guess for the homage, anyway.
The two are on hand to see their father return to the awards stage for the first time since his notorious Oscars slap. Will Smith will present at the program, which will also include presenter Trevor Noah and Beyonce’s approaching award blitz, with 11 nominations.
The real question now is how long Jaden Smith will retain the awkward-looking helmet on top of his head. Is this his most awkward and odd appearance? Far from it. But it does raise a few concerns, which is beneficial in the long term. He discussed his point of view in an October interview with Complex.
“It was a huge thing for me for a long time when people assumed I was normal. This troubled me after a time. “I started to feel like people didn’t really understand or see me, and I wasn’t really trying to show it,” he told the site. “It’s irritating to see individuals try to do the ‘average’ thing when that’s not what they actually want to do with their work and everything. It’s quite frustrating. And then you watch people, generations of people, falling into it. So I’m deliberately trying to be myself.
