The running game for Appalachian State worked fine, but they had to give up on it after falling behind so quickly. Ohio ran 40 times, North Texas 34 times, and LSU 12 times. This is possibly the most carries for LSU this season.

The Tigers have not had much fun on the ground. Against Nicholls State, they had a strange day sputtering up front.

They know the passing game will work, and they will use it when they need to, but this is the game to get the other parts fired up before the SEC season starts again.

Too many penalties and not enough consistency hurt the LSU team’s average run game. This line is too good to be so average.
