Last month, a new $10 lottery game came out. The first person to win $1 million was a man from Massachusetts.
Do Carmo, who lives in Plymouth, won $1 million with a “$4,000,000 Bonus Money” ticket. He claimed his win on Tuesday.
The $10 scratch-off game came out on September 10. As of Oct. 23, every one of the three $4 million big prizes and nine $1 million prizes could still be won.
Do Carmo decided to get his prize in cash, so he got a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
The man from Plymouth got his winning ticket at Express Mart, which is at 367 Court St. in Plymouth. Because they sold the winning ticket, the shop will get an extra $10,000.
