In Western Massachusetts on Wednesday, the second $1 million prize from a new $10 holiday game was claimed. This came just two days after the first $1 million prize was claimed.
The prize came from the game “$2,500,000 Merry & Bright,” which came out on October 15. Two $1 million prizes have been won since the game came out. It is still possible to win all three $2.5 million big prizes and four $1 million prizes as of October 24.
The $1 million ticket that won was bought at Yazzy’s Market in Chicopee.
Two $100,000 wins were also claimed on Wednesday from winning scratch tickets. One was from “Diamond Deluxe” and was sold at the shop in Alltown Pittsfield. The other was from “300X” and was sold at the Amesbury Circle K.
On Wednesday, at least 471 items worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts. Ten of these were in Springfield, twelve were in Worcester, and 54 were in Boston.
Every day, the Massachusetts State Lottery gives out a full list of all the winning tickets. There are only winning tickets worth more than $600 on the list.
Massachusetts has had one big lottery win so far this year. The winner got $1 million a year for life.
It was a prize from the “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game. The winner chose to get a one-time payment of $15.4 million when they received their prize through a trust on July 10.
