Michigan’s Ionia County – The body of a 15-year-old girl was discovered in her house in Danby Township late on Wednesday night, and the authorities are conducting an investigation into her death.
A call to 911 at nine of the clock at night stated that the adolescent was missing, along with a pistol. Deputies arrived to the call.
It has been reported by the Ionia County Prosecutor’s Office that deputies discovered the deceased girl with the firearm in close proximity to her. One shot was reported to have been fired. A medical examiner pronounced the girl deceased at the scene.
With the assistance of local law enforcement, the Child Death Review Team of Ionia County is currently conducting the inquiry.
Law enforcement officers, representatives from the prosecutor’s office, and representatives from the medical examiner’s office make up this team. In addition, Child Protective Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, and medical experts are present.
