Why Missouri Will Win

Early on, the running game needs to take over.

The Tigers have been even, but their best work is done when they keep the charge going on the ground. When Texas A&M lost their only game, it was to Notre Dame in the first round. The defense gave up late against the Irish offensive line.

The Mizzou team is seventh in the country in both offense and defense third down conversions, so they had to keep hitting the ball on the road.

They also had to keep track of their mistakes. For the season, they have only turned it over twice, and not in the last two games. But…

Why Texas A&M Will Win

It is been better for Texas A&M’s run defense.

The problem was a big drive late in the game against Notre Dame. But against FBS teams, like in the win over Arkansas, it is been great giving up less than four yards per run.

The ground attack, on the other hand, has done just enough with Marcel Reese in the middle and Conner Weigman out. The defense has been strong, the offensive line has stopped the defense from getting into the backfield, and the team can win in a tough game.

It does not turn the ball over or make big mistakes like Missouri does, but…

The fact that Missouri has two weeks off should count.

To beat Boston College, it had to come from behind, and Vanderbilt was way too tough. But the great defense should give them an extra boost in this.

The Texas A&M lines will be better, though.

Nothing will go off a lot in the game. Mizzou will turn the ball over twice in key situations, but the Aggies will hold their own on defense on third downs. They will put up a good fight.
