A helipad at Mary Rutan Hospital was used to carry Timothy Jacks, 48, from Bellefontaine. He was subsequently flown to Grant Medical Center by a CareFlight chopper after being transported there by Indian Lake Emergency Medical Services.
In response to the Examiner’s request for an update on Jacks’ status on Sunday morning, the medical personnel at Grant denied to provide one.
Jacks’ eastbound 2022 Harley Davidson collided with a southbound 2004 Jeep Liberty that had stopped on Lincoln Boulevard. The Jeep Liberty then went into the junction of U.S. Route 33 and was struck by the Harley Davidson.
According to reports, Jacks was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which resulted in him being flung off the motorcycle.
Possible injuries were sustained by Jonah Powell, 38, of Belle Center, who was a passenger in the Jeep. Huntsville Emergency Medical Services brought him to Memorial Regional Hospital. The reports indicate that he was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Jeep, Seth Headings, who is 39 years old and lives along Lincoln Boulevard in Russells Point, did not suffer any injuries, according to his report.
The failure to yield was given as the reason for Headings.
