Kansas scored when the special teams made a mistake, and the defense held BYU to only three points in the second half. They finished the upset with a stop on a late fourth down.

New Mexico 38, Washington State 35
WA State needed one last stop in a back-and-forth game but could not get it. At the end of the game, New Mexico scored a touchdown after going 75 yards in 11 plays. They also blocked a final Cougar Hail Mary attempt.

Georgia was tougher than Tennessee when it had to be, Carson Beck came up with a strong performance, and the defense shut out the Vol offense in the second half.

Will Georgia Make The CFP:Â Yeah. It’ll have to slide in and go on the road in the first round – it’ll beat UMass and Georgia Tech – but this will be the team no one wants to face.

Will Tennessee Make The CFP:Â Lean yes, but barely. It’ll get by UTEP and Vanderbilt, the the close win over Alabama will be the only decent resume victory.

The Oregon defense came up big late, the offense settled for field goals, and it was a survive-and-advance game against a Badger team that played – considering the opposition – one of its strongest games of the season.

Will Oregon Make The CFP:Â Yes. It’ll either be 11-1 with a win over Ohio State and a lost to Washington, or 12-1 with a Big Ten Championship loss, or 13-0. No matter what, it’ll be in.

Ashton Jeanty went Ashton Jeanty with three touchdown runs as Boise State overcame a slew start to roll in the second half.

The Nittany Lions didn’t have to break much of a sweat with a strong passing day from Drew Allar and no drama whatsoever. They got up fast and cruised from there.

With 17 fourth quarter points, a late rally, and a walk-off field goal, Stanford pulled off a stunning win over Louisville.

SMU 38, Boston College 28
Boston College gave SMU a battle. After a late stop SMU pulled away on a late touchdown to end the drama – it never trailed all game – but it was a good test.

Notre Dame toyed with Virginia with a 28-0 first half lead and cruised from there.

Will Notre Dame Make The CFP:Â Yes. It’ll beat Army and USC to end up 11-1.
Florida 27, LSU 16
The Gators ran the ball well, but LSU stopped them with two field goals in the second half. With a score of 6-4, that is it. It is likely that LSU will not be able to make it to the College Football Playoff.

Clemson 24, Pitt 20
Pitt scored a field goal to take the lead with just over a minute left, giving Pitt a 17–7 lead. It looked like Clemson would lose, but Cade Klubnik ran for a 50-yard score. The Tiger D ended it with a pick.

Will Clemson Make The CFP:Â It needs a Miami loss in the final two games – watch out for a trip to Syracuse. Yes, if Clemson gets into the ACC Championship, no if it doesn’t. It can lose to Citadel and South Carolina and it won’t matter.
Colorado 49, Utah 24
A late explosion beat Utah’s brave team. Even though the Buffaloes were in charge the whole game, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter really shone.

Will Colorado Make The CFP:Â It’s in the Big 12 Championship if it beats Kansas and Oklahoma State. It’ll likely have to win the Big 12 title – 10-3 almost certainly doesn’t get the at-large bid. At the moment, lean no – if Kansas doesn’t rise up in a shootout, BYU in the Big 12 Championship might.
Tulane 35, Navy 0
Navy was only able to gain 113 yards of offense, which was enough for Tulane to easily win. You can see Tulane play Army in the American Athletic Conference Championship after they beat them.

Next Game:Â Memphis
Will Tulane Make The CFP:Â It’ll be close. It’ll beat Memphis and hold up against Army, but it’s up Boise State. With two losses Tulane won’t get an at-large bid, but if it wins the AAC it’ll be the first one up into one of the automatic five spots if Boise State doesn’t win the Mountain West.
Texas 20, Arkansas 10
The Longhorns owned the first half, but survived as Arkansas made a good comeback and was driving late, but a turnover sealed the win.

Next Game:Â Kentucky
Will Texas Make The CFP:Â Assuming a win over Kentucky, yes if it beats Texas A&M, lean no if it doesn’t. The call from the start of the season remains – the loss to A&M will take out the Longhorns – there won’t be a great win.
Ohio State 31, Northwestern 7
Nobody got upset because Ohio State scored 31 straight points to win the game. The Buckeyes’ defense gave up 251 yards in a clean game.
