Millions of people in the United States are getting new checks from Social Security with an accepted benefit. We have found that retirees who meet certain conditions will be able to get their check today.
We need to check all of these conditions again, though.
People in the U.S. who do not get a Social Security payment today do not have to miss their retirement income, though.
In fact, you may already have your September benefit payment in your bank account.
Which group of retirees you are in makes a difference. And the benefit today is only for seniors in Group 4.
People in this group are the only ones who can get this check, so we just need to find out what it takes to be in group 4 and get Social Security.
Requirements for Social Security payment
What you need to do to get your daily Social Security payment depends on two things. On the one hand, the beneficiary’s retirement year. On the other hand, the birthday of the recipient.
We can be sure of exactly what time of the month we will get each new benefit by putting these two things together.
For todayās payment, we cannot fall into theĀ following Social SecurityĀ groups:
- Have a checkĀ since before May 1997.
- Have a retirement
- check since after May 1997,Ā with years between:
- theĀ 1st and 10thĀ of any month.
- theĀ 11th and 20thĀ of any month.
Every one of these groups gets their check on a different day. In order to be clear, we should say that today’s payment is only for older people in Group 4. Because of the following, this is the last payment for the whole month of September:
- CollectĀ Social Security since after May 1997.
- Yourbirthday is between the 21st and 31stĀ of any month.
So long as we are in this group, we will be able to get Social Security. If not, the October payouts were on September 3, 11, and 18. We can get the money the same day it is sent if Direct Deposit is turned on. If not, the money will be sent a few days later.
