Idaho State Police say a woman jumped out of an SUV that was travelling on Interstate 15 in southern Bannock County and was flown to a nearby hospital.
According to the police, the woman jumped out of a 2005 Toyota Highlander that was going south on the motorway between Downey and Arimo at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The woman was in the car with the driver, and when she jumped, the driver stopped the SUV and stayed at the scene until help came.
The woman was seriously hurt in the accident and had to be flown from the scene to Portneuf Medical Centre in Pocatello by emergency chopper.
The woman’s name is being kept secret by the police, but they say she is expected to live.
State cops said they are still looking into what happened.
