Tech still has a chance to win the ACC title with a few important games left, including at Clemson and at home against Duke. They are also on a roll at the right time.
That was SO close to beating Miami. It also beat Stanford and Boston College. Now it can get past its 1-3 start and make a lot of noise before two of its next three games are away.
Even though Georgia Tech lost to Notre Dame last week, it is still good, it still has a lot of chances to ruin other teams’ seasons, and it needs this win badly.
With so much at stake, getting to a bowl game should be NC State’s last game at home. But that does not mean the Yellow Jackets can not beat Miami or Georgia at home. That would be too much to ask.

Why Georgia Tech Will Win
Zach Pyron was not terrible.
Star quarterback Haynes King was out against the Fighting Irish because he is iffy for this. Pyron filled in and ran for 45 yards, threw for 269 yards, scored a touchdown, and threw two interceptions.

They do not turn the ball over, but with only six takeaways, they have not been very destructive either. The turnover advantage has only been lost once in the last six games for Virginia Tech. The fact that Georgia Tech does not have a strong pass rush will only help that.
Big things happen when Kyron Drones and the UGA backfield can work together. Last week, they ran for 368 yards against Boston College. In the last six games, they have now topped 200 yards four times, and
Georgia Tech vs Virginia Tech: Who Will Win
When Georgia Tech’s run defense holds up, it usually wins. But it won after letting North Carolina’s ground game fire, and it lost to Louisville even though it held up well.
Georgia Tech does not really have a trend or reason for how they win or lose, but the offense will still have a hard time.
They are too hot, their attack is too strong, and their ground game is too good right now. In the second half, the Hokies’ offense will take over.
