FL State helped NC State win.
The problems with the Seminoles made it harder to see what a huge letdown the Wolfpack have been. They have had a bad start, going 0-2 in the ACC and not beating a Power Four team.
It was meant to be a great time for the team with five home games in six days, but a strange loss to Wake Forest threw that off.
On the other hand, Syracuse beat UNLV in a nail-biter to improve to 4-1. They now have to play five road games in six days, starting with a trip to Pitt.

Why Syracuse Will Win
The throwing game is still very dangerous.
Oh, that Ohio State guy is pretty good. Kyle McCord has thrown for more than 330 yards in all of his games so far. There have been 17 goals and five picks in the last three games.
Not enough of a pass rush is coming from NC State. The defense as a whole gives up too many yards through the air and scores the fewest points in the ACC, about 34 per game.
Along with an offense that probably will not have quarterback Grayson McCall (who left the Wake Forest game with a scary injury that put him in the concussion procedure), the defense is having a tough time.
Why NC State Will Win
Even though NC State lost, they played pretty well against Wake Forest’s passing attack.
The bigger problem is the run defense, but that is not what we need to talk about here. In the three losses, the Wolfpack let teams run for 161 yards or more. In the three wins, they let teams run for 120 yards or less.
That is possible for Syracuse if it sticks to the running game, but it doesn’t. In five games, the team still has not rushed for 140 yards.
