The team plays its best when it can run the ball well, but an effective attack that spreads the ball around keeps things going. The team wins when it works.

Sometimes the defense fails, but it can still take the ball away. The Hilltoppers are 4-0 when they throw for more than 240 yards and 0-2 when they don’t. That shows how well the offensive line can do its job.

It has not been up against many teams that can throw well, but Texas State and Hawaii both hit it hard, giving up 326 and 252 yards, respectively.
