The lights are on.
The college football season is coming to Berkeley, and Miami is still perfect even after the crazy ending to their game against Virginia Tech. However, they need to show that they deserve all the attention they are getting now.
It takes off for a week, flies across the country for this, and then goes to Louisville. Five of Cal’s next seven games are at home, but the next one is away at Pitt.
There were four games between these two teams. The first was in 1964, and Cal won 9ā7. The most recent game was in the Emerald Bowl in 2008, and Bears won 24ā17.

Cal (3-1), Miami (5-0)
Why Miami Will Win
Cal is not really made to fight for anything.
It is hard for the offence to hold up against teams with good pass rushes because there is not a downfield passing game and the running game has been hit or miss.
Miami is not like that at all. The offence averages 586 yards per game, which is second in the country. The defence has the third most sacks in college football, and Cam Ward, a veteran playmaker, leads the best passing threat in the country.
This game needs to stay in the 20s for both teams for Cal, which could be very hard to do against this attack.
Why Cal Will Win
Miami’s offence was very powerful, but the defences it played against were not very good.
It was almost a thriller for Virginia Tech, thanks to a good mix that began with the ground attack. It went more than 200 yards, and Cal needs to speed up their play to try to set the pace early on.
After getting hurt early in the season, star running back Jaydn Ott is starting to get better. He ran for 73 yards against Florida State. To stop the great Hurricane pass rush, Cal needs to dive right into the ground attack and keep hitting hard.
So far, no one has run more than 32 times against Miami. To keep up with the speed, everyone has to throw, so…
Miami vs Cal: Who Will Win
There will be a fight.
It will matter what time it is because the second half will start very late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. It will be fine because these are college students, but the team will be a little off.
The defence will bend but not break, and then the Miami pass rush will come through. Cal will be able to control the clock with a running game that gets better as the game goes on.
You should stay up late to play this fun game, but it will not be easy.
