There you have it. It is an ACC game and a Friday night game that could be very important.

Stanford lost to TCU but played well against Cal Poly. They then had a few weeks off to get ready for their trip to Syracuse.

It will be even worse when they play at Clemson the following week. They also have three road games in four weeks, including one at Notre Dame soon after.

Syracuse has played great in its first two games under new coach Fran Brown. It was great to beat Ohio State, but beating Georgia Tech made it all real. The Orange need this because they have Holy Cross, this game, and five road games in six weeks.

Why Syracuse Will Win

The orange team’s passing game has been great from the start.

Kyle McCord might not have been good enough for Ohio State, but he is been great for Syracuse in two games, completing 69% of his passes for over 350 yards and four scores each time. The offensive line has given him time, which has helped him do really well.

With this new rule, the Syracuse quarterback will be able to work without being popped all the time.

So far, Stanford has not been able to regularly move the chains and stop teams from making third down plays. This is an early problem, but…

Although both teams’ passing attempts will be strong, Syracuse will have a lot of energy that will last all the way through the first half. They will have chances to push through, but they will not be able to.
