They need to quickly forget about their shocking late loss to Stanford last week. There are three road games coming up, and then five in the next six. Everything needs to be in top shape now.
Holy Cross is on the map because it is where Matthew Sluka used to go to school. By the way, Syracuse is next up for UNLV.
Even though the Crusaders have lost all three games, they were all very close. That team is good enough to at least give the Orange a little push.

Why Holy Cross Will Win
To say it again, the Crusaders have not been that bad.
They are good at causing turnovers, do not give the ball away often, and pass the ball well enough to keep the game going.
While the Syracuse defence is not making enough big plays, especially against the run, there is a bit of a running game to test them.
Why Syracuse Will Win
The Orange will throw their way out of a funk.
It may have been a huge letdown in the Stanford game when the defence lost it late, but that will not matter here.
Kyle McCord has been great, except for the two picks he threw against Stanford. He is about to complete nearly 70% of his passes, which will lead to about 320 yards against a Holy Cross defence that will not bring enough of a pass rush.
Syracuse vs Holy Cross: Who Will Win
Syracuse will get this going right away.
Two drives, two scores, and after a lull, it’ll pick it all back up just before halftime to put this away without too much of a bother.
There will be a little cleaning up to do, though, after turning it over two times to make everyone have to keep working in the second half.
