In 1968, Penn State went to Los Angeles and beat them 21–6. They went on to have an 11-0 season. That was their last game together.
In the 1960s, they played each other often, but Penn State was a separate school and UCLA was a member of the Athletic Association of Western Universities.

Well, let us just say UCLA is having a tough time becoming a Big Ten school. It has lost all three games, including Hawaii, which was tough to beat. Penn State, on the other hand, is quietly going strong with a 4-0 record.
Next up for Penn State are games at USC, Wisconsin, and Ohio State. UCLA can not just be a tune-up.
