It is not quite a knockout game for the College Football Playoff, but it is getting close.
Ole Miss will probably not be able to win the SEC title if it loses; they have too many games to play with two losses. LSU, on the other hand, has only lost one game so far, and that was against USC in the first game.
Ole Miss got back on track by beating South Carolina 27–3. They had lost to South Carolina at home before this game. The Rebels need to win because they have to play Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Georgia next.
Even though LSU has won four straight games, it is not a big deal that they beat UCLA and South Alabama. The Tigers have to win their next two games, which are on the road against Arkansas and Texas A&M.

LSU (4-1), Ole Miss (5-1)
Why Ole Miss Will Win
It seems like the Rebels are always making big plays behind the line.
In tackles for loss, their defence is the best in the country. In their last three games, they have had 23 and in each of the two SEC games, they had 10.
This team charges from every direction, stops third downs better than any other team in the country, and has not given up more than 20 points yet.
That stress should make people make mistakes. The LSU offence is very good, but it sometimes turns the ball over. They gave it away twice against South Carolina and again last week against South Alabama.
The Rebel offence has not played against a strong offence like LSU’s, but LSU has not played against a defence this good either, and that includes both USC teams. Ole Miss will keep going fast, which will make the Tiger defence work harder, and…
Why LSU Will Win
Sometimes LSU has problems, but their offensive line is very good at protecting the pass. Even though Ole Miss might put pressure on, it should not get in the way of what quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the offence do.
The Tigers allow the fourth fewest sacks in the country. The offence is throwing the ball very well, and Ole Miss’s defence will give up at least 250 yards.
They should do more than just keep up the pace as long as they have control of the ball and are scoring. This is because Ole Miss always gives up time of possession.
But for this to happen, the LSU defence needs to stop Jaxson Dart and the Ole Miss offence. That sounds like a bad loss for the Rebels.
On ten third down tries, it only made one conversion. As long as LSU can keep Ole Miss from getting more than 30% of their third downs…
Ole Miss vs LSU: Who Will Win
Please show the 55–49 game that Ole Miss won like we did last year. This time, the Tigers do not have Jayden Daniels at quarterback, and both defences are much better.
The fight should go back and forth and be great for an hour. It might not be crazy, but it should be fun.
Ole Miss might have the right pieces and the right players to pull this off, but LSU will win at home with its strong lines taking over when they need to.
