Why FIU Will Win

All eyes are on the defense to get enough takeaways to get past the other issues.

In each of the last four games, there has been at least one takeaway. But for the Panthers to keep this up, they need to win the turnover fight. It needs to make the most of every chance it gets.

They are 2-0 this season when they keep the turnover edge and 0-5 when they lose it. Another great skill of Sam Houston’s is getting the ball away. However, he has given it up ten times in all games since the first one against Rice.

The Panthers’ defense should not be able to stop the offense, especially the run game.

The hardest thing for FIU is keeping the attack going. They have too many mistakes and do not have a running game.

A big problem is that they can not stop the run and do not have a pass rush. Liberty and UTEP both ran for 281 and 211 yards, respectively. FIU gives up 203 yards per game.

Do not take any big risks; just keep passing the buck. Everything should be fine. They are 5-0 when they run for 178 yards or more and 0-2 when they don’t. Only once has FIU given up less than 178 yards.
