Michael B. Jordan is not finished with the MCU just yet! According to a new rumor, the actor plans to return in one of the next Avengers films.
It appears that every appearance by Michael B. Jordan in the MCU is a big deal. The actor has been making waves in the Marvel Universe, from his surprise return in Wakanda Forever to his role as a major villain in What If…?. Despite nearly conquering the multiverse, he appears to be setting his sights on the Avengers franchise.
According to Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, Michael B. Jordan is preparing to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in one of the upcoming Avengers movies. It was not specified which project the actor would appear in, whether Doomsday or Secret Wars, or which character he would play in whichever film he did make a cameo.
Who Will Michael B. Jordan Play In Avengers?
Michael B. Jordan’s obvious role in the mystery Avengers film would be Erik Killmonger. However, even this reveals little. It is possible that he will return as his iconic villain from the MCU’s Sacred Timeline. Given the cosmic nature of the films, it is possible he appears as the Infinity Gauntlet-empowered version of the character from What If…? season 1.
However, Michael B. Jordan’s role could come from outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor previously portrayed the Human Torch in the disastrous Fant4stic.
Having him return to that character could surprise casual fans while also rewarding those who stuck with the franchise through its toughest times. Given the scope of the Avengers projects, he could appear in both. Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in May 2026.
