GRAPEVINE – Seven suspects in a multimillion-dollar cargo theft ring have been charged with organized criminal activity after North Texas law enforcement interrupted the alleged enterprise, according to the Grapevine Police Department.
According to investigators, the thievery ring was responsible for over $10 million in burglaries throughout five cities: Grapevine, Plano, Fort Worth, Coppell, and Dallas.
Six Dallas males were arrested, along with one Carrollton man:
Adrian Ellison, 38, from Dallas
Julius Green, forty, of Dallas
Willie Hill, 38, from Dallas
Fayzal Kara, 40, from Carrollton
Ronnie Vaden, 33, from Dallas
Derrick White, 38, of Dallas
Eric White, 33, from Dallas
The inquiry began following a warehouse burglary on May 13, during which $500,000 in Ray-Ban glasses and Oculus goggles were stolen, according to authorities.
According to authorities, surveillance footage shows a suspect creating a breach in a bay door to access and unload products from “several pallets.”
A Grapevine police crime analyst prepared a notice that included images of the suspects, a stolen truck, and their burglary methods. Another law enforcement agency suspected the group was responsible for similar burglaries in their territory, according to authorities. The analyst then uncovered crime reports from other North Texas cities that used the identical burglary strategies.
In August, a suspect car was spotted near a warehouse known for storing significant amounts of electronics. Drone monitoring revealed an active burglary at the facility.
Authorities say the suspects narrowly evaded detection by utilizing various lookouts throughout the city, who alerted them to the police reaction seconds before the officers arrived; nonetheless, one suspect was apprehended that night. The six other people were arrested between August and earlier this month.
The organization is believed to have been operating since at least 2023, and it has been linked to seven burglaries between August 2023 and June 2024.
