The Social Security Administration gives monthly payments to retirees, widows, disabled people, and people who claim SSI. However, some people who got Supplemental Security Income (SSI) this year would get two payments the next month.
Since December 1st is a Sunday, the second SSI payment will come on November 29th. The first payment will still come on the first of the month.
That being said, it is important to remember that the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program was created by the Social Security Administration to help low-income adults over 65, disabled people, and children who need money.
If you are qualified for Supplemental Security Income (SSI), read this to learn more about when your payments will be doubled.
Social Security confirmed the first of two SSI payments in November
The Social Security Administration made an annual payment plan to help people remember when each program’s payments are due. Each month, more than 70 million payments are due.
This schedule says that SSI recipients always get their payouts on the first of the month, except on weekends and holidays. It includes the double SSI payout in November. Here is a list of all the payment dates coming up.
SSI payments | SSI payments date | Advanced payment |
September | – | – |
October | October 1st | – |
November | November 1st | November 29th (December 1st) |
December | – | December 31st (January 1st) |
Remember that if your SSI payment does not arrive on the due date, you should wait at least three mail days before calling Social Security’s customer service line.

How can beneficiaries apply for the SSI payments in the US?
Since 1935, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has helped millions of Americans and residents pay their bills and save for retirement by giving them monthly payments, as long as they meet certain requirements.
Beneficiaries get a monthly payment from the federal government based on their situation, full retirement age, work experience, type of disability, and Social Security contributions.
Benefits depend on resources, income, and the type of application. These all play a part in figuring out who is eligible and how much each user can get each month.
For instance, SSI applicants who sign up as singles and meet the standards can get up to $943 a month, while couples can get up to $1,415 a month. People who meet the guidelines for an Essential Person (EP) may get an extra $472 award.
People who get payments from this program should be told that the goal of these payments is to help people who paid into Social Security while they were working live on a basic level. Lastly, each recipient may be able to get more than one payment.
